Budecort Respules - 0.5mg per 2ml
This medicine is a corticosteroid and is used in the treatment and management of asthma and other chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. In the nasal spray form, it helps in curing nasal polyps and allergic rhinitis and pills in rectal form can help in several inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease, microscopic colitis, and ulcerative colitis)
The primary ingredient is Budesonide 0.5 MG /2ML and does not consume Budesonide with antacids and cholesterol medicines such as colestyramine since such medicines lessen its effects.
How does it work:
In order to cure asthma and prevent disease progression, Budecort Respules-0.5 Mg per 2 ml acts by stopping the release of certain natural substances in the body that are responsible for inflammation.If you are facing ongoing asthma attack, use your regular inhaler and not this medicine.
How to use this:
It is available in the nasal spray, inhaler, pill and rectal form. Use Budecort Respules-0.5 Mg per 2 ml in the dosage and duration advised by your health provider or pharmacist.Do check its label for direction.You have to twist the top of the transpule or respules and completely squeeze the liquid into the nebulizer. Please note that this drug should be consumed immediately after it gets open.
Imply correct techniques to use dry powder inhalers (DPI) or metered dose inhalers (MDI) to minimize side-effects and ensure the right quantity of medicine to be reached in your lungs. After each inhalation, gargle with warm water to avoid mouth fungal infections.Do not breathe out into the mouthpiece.
Some of the side-effects which you can experience are- throat infection, voice hoarseness, cough, joint pains, vomiting, tiredness, loss of bone strength, cataracts, increased risk of infection, adrenal insufficiency due to long-term usage in the pill form etc.
Precautions and Warning:
During pregnancy, it is recommended to use it in inhaler form. This medicine is not prescribed if you are below 18 years of age, have any allergy, breastfeeding, had serious virus/bacterial/fungal infection, have a family history of glaucoma or diabetes, having or had eczema/stomach ulcer/liver disease/high blood pressure etc.
